DAN RAMIEN - MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dan is the founder and Managing Director of ARMA Insurance Brokers in Gunnedah and Moree. He has more than 20 years experience in the insurance industry and leads the highly motivated teams at both the Gunnedah and Moree offices. Born in Coonamble and raised on a sheep station, Dan has a strong rural background and understands the importance of life on the land. He began his insurance career with a brokerage in Tamworth in 2000, before moving to Scotland to work, travel and play rugby union for Perthshire in 2004 and 2005. After returning home to continue his insurance career for several years, Dan moved to Gunnedah in 2010 and started his own insurance business, which he has built successfully from the ground up with hard work. In 2016, he also took over an insurance branch in Moree. Dan is actively involved in supporting many organisations and community events through sponsorship, including the Talmoi Races, Curlewis Campdraft, Gunnedah Red Devils Rugby team and the Gunnedah Swimming Club. He has a love for the land and together with his family, runs his own crop, grazing and cattle property near Gunnedah. He is married to local girl Kate, and together they have three beautiful children - two daughters and a son.

Jacinta Sheather - Authorised Broker No. 1236554

jacinta SHEATHER - office manager/ general insurance broker

Jacinta is our Office Manager and oversees the daily operations, procedures and staff within the Moree and Gunnedah branches. She brings with her experience across all areas of insurance. Jacinta is also our commercial insurance broker and claims manager for both offices as well as assisting with the domestic, farm and crop insurance portfolios. Jacinta has been in the insurance industry for 10 years, completing her Tier 1 Broking Compliance in 2012. She has since gone on to achieve her Diploma of Financial Services in Insurance Broking. Jacinta spent 4 years managing an insurance broking office in the NSW Riverina before joining the ARMA team in early 2019. She is married and a mother of three children - two sons and a daughter. In her leisure time, you will find her baking, gardening and running between the childrens’ out of school activities.    

Qualifications – Diploma of Financial Services - Insurance Broking.

Katrina Webb - Authorised Broker No. 1243082

Katrina is based in the ARMA Insurance Moree office and is a commercial and domestic insurance broker, but specialises in farm insurance which is a large portion of our business. She is the first port of call for our Moree clients, along with team member Sally Johnson, and provides valuable insurance advice. She has had 19 years experience in the banking industry and has spent more than a decade working for ARMA in Moree. She started in the industry as an administration assistant before becoming an insurance broker. Katrina is happily married and has one adult son and a teenage daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys doing Physical Culture, watching movies and pursuing her love of art.

Sally Johnson - Broker Support Officer

Sally joined the ARMA Insurance team in 2020 in the Moree office and has hit the ground running in her role as Broker Support Officer. Sal joined us after 10 years experience in the insurance industry having worked for NRMA Insurance in Moree. She handles the domestic portfolio, including home and contents, landlords and private motor insurance. She has completed a Certificate IV in General Insurance and recently passed her Tier 2 in Insurance Broking. Sal is now studying her Tier 1 which will allow her to become a qualified Insurance Broker. She is a mother of two - an adult son and teenage daughter and enjoys gardening, the outdoors and spending time with family in her spare time.

Qualifications – Certificate IV General Insurance and Tier 2 Insurance Broking. Currently studying Tier 1.

Ayla Baker - Broker Support and Administration Officer

AYLA BAKER - BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND BROKER SUPPORT OFFICER

Ayla Baker is our Business Administration and Broker Support Officer based in the Gunnedah office. She is responsible for office administration, Reception, renewals, client liaison, debt recovery, endorsements and Greenslip processing. Ayla has completed her Tier 2 Certificate in General Insurance Broking, and is now planning to complete her Tier 1. She hails from rural Victoria and has a love for life on the land. Ayla also has a passion for horses which led her to achieving a Diploma in Equine Business Management from Marcus Oldham College. She is married to a local farmer and spends her weekends gardening and riding horses.

Qualifications – Tier 2 Insurance Broking.

Kate Ramien - Administration Manager

Dan’s wife Kate joined ARMA Insurance on a part-time basis after taking a break from a 14-year journalism career to help raise their three young children. Kate grew up on the family farm near Gunnedah and attended school locally, before heading to University to study Journalism and Public Relations. She began her journalism career with PrimeTV in Tamworth where she worked for several years as a TV reporter and TV presenter before travelling and working overseas in London and Scotland for 2 years. She returned to Tamworth to take on the role of Bureau Chief and Senior Journalist with NBN News Tamworth where she stayed for 4 years. When Dan opened ARMA Insurance in Gunnedah in 2010, Kate took on the role of News Editor with the local Namoi Valley Independent newspaper where she worked for 5 years. After taking a break from journalism to raise their three little ones, Kate has taken on an administrative role with ARMA, overseeing such things as staff recruitment, payroll and finances. She also helps run the family farm.

Kristen Guest - Broker Support and Administration Officer

Kristen is our newest employee at ARMA Insurance based in the Gunnedah office, and has taken the reins from the outset to begin her Tier 2 in Insurance Broking. Kristen is the first port of call in the Gunnedah office and provides office support to both the Gunnedah and Moree branches. She also takes care of chasing debtors, processing endorsements, renewals and liaising with clients and new business enquiries. Born and bred in Gunnedah, Kristen is a true local and has spent her entire working life locally. She is also the Secretary of the Gunnedah Common. Kristen lives with her partner and four children - two daughters and two sons ranging from ages four to 16. Outside of work, Kristen spends time with her family and running around after the kids and in her spare time, enjoys crocheting, sewing and tending to her succulent garden.

Qualifications: Currently studying Tier 2 Insurance Broking.
